Philadelphia Newspaper The Philadelphia Inquirer Accidentally Hails Phillies As World Series Champions After Game 4 Loss - WPIX

Happy Monday everyone! My favorite time of year- baseball season may very well end tonight. Apparently, the awesome folks at the Philly Inquirer thought that it ended last night. There is a time machine in the bathroom.

Philadelphia Newspaper The Philadelphia Inquirer Accidentally Hails Phillies As World Series Champions After Game 4 Loss - WPIX

I've been listening to WFAN's Mike Francessa all afternoon- parlaying all the reasons the JETS suck and all the reasons why the NY Yankees are destiny's darling. Why do I listen to this crap? I might as well be listening to the Ole Miss campus radio station or something. He is just so biased and mean. He doesn't understand what it's like to be a fan. He thinks Mets and Jets fans are stupid and miserable. I mean- why would you ever be a fan of the 2nd class teams of NYC when you can take the easier route- Well, before I ever met my favorite ambassador from the state of NY, Bulldog, I hated the Yankees. Except for Yogi Berra who always gets a pass because he is 48 kinds of awesomeness!!!!!!

True, I haven't been a JETS fan forever- but I fell in love with the JETS after game 1...and Bulldog has educated and schooled me well in all the heartache and frustration and lost brain cells that ensues. Still, I was unable to NOT LOVE the J-E-T-S! Jets! Jets! Jets!

Today, Mike Francessa was just horrendous- why would I want to STOP BEING A JETS FAN BECAUSE WE HAVE NO SPECIAL TEAMS PLAY MAKERS!???!? That's ridiculous....I've been a MSU Bulldog my entire life without a championship. I mean- REALLY- for some New Yorkers, winning is everything- it's the only thing- it's perfectly normal to believe that if you have the most money, you win. If you have the establishment, you win.

Fine. I'm not a New Yorker- but I would align the Jets & Mets with pretty much in line with all my other beliefs- try hard, do your best, love 'em even when it's tough, never give up, winning isn't everything, heart always beats bank accounts.

that being said- it's 103 days unti pitchers and catchers report. I can NOT wait.
